Syrian citizens of Armenian origin1 (but not their relatives of non-Armenian origin) may obtain RA entry visa without an invitation, at the RA state border crossing points. Visas are issued by the respective unit of the Passports and Visas Department of the RA Police (OVIR).

Syrian-Armenians are exempted from payment for visas.

Persons may enter the Republic of Armenia with a valid passport and the permission of the border guard troops of the National Security Service of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. To enter RA, one of the following documents is required:
entry visa,
A document certifying the status of residence in the Republic of Armenia.
Foreigners under the age of 18 can enter the Republic of Armenia together with their parents, one of their parents, another legal representative or an escort or alone if they come to the Republic of Armenia with their parents, one of their parents, another legal representative or a host organization.
The above-mentioned requirements do not apply to persons arriving in the country for the purpose of seeking asylum in the Republic of Armenia (see section 4 for more details).
